What makes great content in a blog?
It seems there is a question of what makes good content for your blog. Consider this, what is the most relavent information can you post for your niche or topic of you blog? It sounds easier said than done!
Many people ask us how can they ever think of enough material to put on their blog going far into the future! They often resist the idea when they discover that, when starting a blog, it has converted them to be a publisher. Never has anyone given a thought to publishing for promoting their business! But in a sense, every business owner is a publisher. When you think of the ads that have to be designed for magazines, the scripts for a radio commercial of your business, what “sale” signs to be put on the window of your store or inside your store on the display racks. Either you created it yourself or hired an ad agency to write copy for you, it is all content.
The main advantage of composing content for your blog is that it makes you more sensitive to what your business is all about. What products do you have that customers want? What potential additional products could you sell that your customers want? Are you addressing the real needs of your customer base? These and many more questions you can answer with just posting your articles on the blog. You get feedback from your customers and visitors from comments made on it. By inserting promotional coupons and other incentives for people to visit your store, you add to your marketing arsenal of driving interest to your store.
Great content is: relavent, sparks interest, entertaining, creative and honest. You can’t go wrong with this formula.
What is great about blogs is that you write in a casual or conversational tone. It does not have to be prim and proper, corporate speak. It is more like talking among good friends at the dining table. Let the information flow from your mind to writing on your blog. It will be one of the most enjoyable things to do in your business!
