What is the Best Blog Platform?

By Bruce · Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

There are certainly a lot of blogging platforms out there in the blogosphere. Each platform has its own fan club. Each platform has its pros and cons and seems to satisfy the cravings for different types of personalities who use them.

Here is a small sampling of blog platforms that are easy to get online.

  1. Blogger
  2. WordPress
  3. Square Space
  4. Typepad
  5. Gawker
  6. Joomla
  7. Drupal
  8. Moveable Type
  9. Expression Engine

The two most popular blog platforms are Blogger, which is owned by Google, and WordPress. WordPress by far, is the run away winner of the most popular blogging platform. As a matter of fact, WordPress is the blog platform that has even replaced expensive full, blown corporate websites.

WordPress is my vote for the best blog platform. You can find out more about wordpress by clicking here.

WordPress is known for its ease of use and expandability. Although some people would disagree, I feel that the interface is one of the most easiest to navigate. You can make posts on the fly, add as many custom widgets as you want, add video, pictures, photo albums, audio, etc., and the list goes on. WordPress is available via free download, which makes it an obvious choice for your blogging needs.

In my next post, I will go over the many features available that you can use now to put up your business blog.
