Now that we know that blogs can be the most effective marketing device for your business, let’s talk about what things to use in your blog to ultimately generate profits.

First of all, you need to have a memorable domain name. In a perfect world, it should have a keyword or phrase of the type of industry your business is in. At the same time, it should be a short domain name. So there is a challenge of getting the right domain name, but you certainly can get some assistance here by going to a domain name suggestion site.

Here are some sites that can help you generate your own unique domain name:

When a search engine looks at your blog, the first thing it will index is your domain name. The following things the search engines look for is meta tags, blog title, H1 and H2 tags, caption descriptions of your photos or videos, category words and phrases, and lastly the content in your posts. You can see, that if you give attention to all these items simultaneously, you will generate more visitor traffic to your site and therefore more leads that turn into paying customers.

Another way to find keyword-rich domains that you haven’t mentioned is to look for expired domains.

I’m not sure which sites to look at for expired .com domains but here in the UK http://www.unwanted-domain-names.co.uk is a popular choice for .co.uk and .org.uk domains.

Are you on a network of websites that complement other services and products? That is the first thing I would look for.

I would suggest to you that you start an affiliate program. As you see, I have a namecheap.com affiliate link on this blog.

Lastly, I would write an article a week about domains and submit them to all the popular article directories with link backs to your site.
