Manage Your Blog Content

It’s one thing to slap on videos, audios, a lot of text content and maybe some affiliate ads on your blog, but most importantly, manage how much of each item you put on your blog. It is important that your blog not be “cluttered” with so many distractions and buttons that the visitor has good reason to just leave your site because of too many options to choose from. A good example of this is the “magazine” style blogs. These blogs try to be everything to everybody because for these blogs, typically they are run by very large corporations that have so money to spend on their blog sites that they literally “feed” content to overload! The only good thing about overloading a blog with loads of content everyday is that the search engines will be overhwhelmed with the volume of content, that it will place that site in the top page ranking in not time. These sites rate as “authority” sites and they are preferred by the search engines to feed these sites to most people looking for that type of niche content.

To be more realistic, manage your blog in the most simplistic way. You want to offer value and quality to the visitor but also don’t overdo the varied options they have to choose from. Less is more, in the design of your blog. Keep neutral colors in the design to be pleasing to the eye. Keep as simple and as low numbers, the number of navigation buttons in your header.

Keep consistent on how you post. If you post everyday, then keep posting everyday. If you choose to post once a week, then make sure you keep with that schedule. Whatever time you give to your blog, just make sure it is consistent. Your views will come to expect when you add content and continue to visit during your predictable schedule of posting content.

Managing your blog can be a most powerful tool you can use to attract a sizeable following.
