Did you know that business blogs not only help your business grow by attracting online visitors and educating your customers about your product or service, but also can generate money by itself?
When you blog matures and eventually grows to “critical” mass, which is a fancy phrase for being “well connected” around the world wide web, your blog itself becomes a money maker. Let’s say you’ve optimized your blog with back links, listings on directories, listings with other blogs and websites, submission of articles to article directories that link back, passed out your blog link offline to all your friends and associates, and so on. Now your blog should eventually attract a calculated amount of daily online visitors. We are talking about “unique” visitors here….the ones who are “new people” coming to your blog each and everyday. We don’t want to count the repeat visitors. Well, the higher the daily “unique” visitors, the more you have a chance to sell advertising on your blog. In other words, think of your blog as a magazine that has articles, pictures, and ads.
We are of the thinking that if you can attract at least 1,000 unique visitors per month, you can start selling advertising banners on your blog site. This is a simple way of monetizing your blog without even having anyone visiting your blog and then buying something either from your blog or going to your brick and mortar location.
There are blog sites that are making upwards of $1,500 per month to over $50,000+ per month just in advertising alone!
