Build Community with a Blog

By

The most powerful built in feature that a blog has is the ability to build a community of followers and customers. When you post information on your blog, you become a publisher, an authority or expert in your field, and show yourself to be a very credible source for your product or service.

People will buy from someone they like, know and trust. What better way to build your likeability and trust than with your own blog. When you make a post to your blog, it immediately attracts visitors that are interested in searching words and phrases that have to do with your product or service. You will immediately be the center of attention for curious web surfers. Whether they buy only from the internet or an offline prospect who uses the internet to “find” an offline business, you can’t miss with a business blog.

The most important thing you can do is to add content often to further make your blog interesting. Soon enough, you will see visitors to your blog make comments and feedback to your content. These comments are seen by other visitors to your site and attracts even more search engines to your site because of frequency of changes on your blog made by you and your “community.”

Blogs are only one half of your “community.” The other part of generating your audience, is from social network sites. You see, blogs and social network sites go hand in hand regarding feeding the communication chain that you want to develop.

In our next post, we will go over the possibilities of how blogs and social network sites work together.
