There are several features that all blogs have built in. The most important feature a blog has is the ability to “ping” the search engines. This is when you make post in your blog and it immediately alerts the search engines that a “change” was done to your site. This is very effective to get your content noticed by the internet community at large. People are constantly surfing the internet for more and more information. Actually that is the main purpose whay anyone goes online.

Another way that blogs attract the search engines is through a network of other relevant blogs. Search engines quite often will “group” blogs with other blogs of similar topics and index them like a library.
